CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors from around the globe are invited to submit their original and unpublished research papers and join us in The Amity Law School, Amity University, Lucknow Campus on 24th & 25th October 2024.

SUB - THEMES OF THE SEMINAR

  1. Legal frameworks for women’s rights and gender equality: Examining existing laws, their implementation, and identifying gaps in legislation.
  2. Education as a tool for empowerment: Ensuring equal access to education, combating gender stereotypes in educational materials, and promoting STEM education for girls.
  3. Political participation and representation: Encouraging women’s participation in decision-making processes, promoting women’s leadership, and implementing gender quotas in politics.
  4. Combating gender-based violence: Strengthening legal protections, improving support services for survivors, and promoting awareness and prevention campaigns.
  5. Health and reproductive rights: Ensuring access to comprehensive healthcare, promoting sexual and reproductive health education, and protecting women’s bodily autonomy.
  6. The role of men and society in promoting gender equality: Engaging men as allies, challenging toxic masculinity, and promoting a culture of respect and equality within families, workplace, Communities.
  7. Technology and digital empowerment: Leveraging technology to support women’s empowerment, such as promoting digital literacy, creating online platforms for networking and mentorship, and addressing the gender digital divide to ensure equal access to opportunities in the IT sector.
  8. Agrarian Reform & Participation of Women in rural development & empowerment of rural women.

NOTE: The above key themes are only suggestive but not exhaustive. The participants may submit their research papers within the broad areas of the key themes of the Seminar.

PAPER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

  1. The Seminar shall have paper presentations that shall be selected after a blind review procedure to be conducted by the editorial
  2. The presenters will present their papers before a panel of experts who shall adjudge the paper
  3. The participants may adopt any suitable means for presenting the papers including Audio-Visual aids, Power Point Presentations etc.
  4. In case of co-authorship at least one author must attend the Seminar to present the paper.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Language: All submissions must be in English
  • Word Limit: The abstract should be between 250-300 words along with 5-7 The full research paper should be between 3000-5000 words (inclusive of all citation and references/footnote)
  • Font and Line Spacing: Submissions must be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1-inch margin on all sides with 5-line spacing. Potential contributors are required to adhere to a uniform mode of citation (20th Edition of The Bluebook or OSCOLA Citation Style, APA, MLA, etc.). It shall be submitted in MS-Word file only.
  • Plagiarism Percentage: All the submitted Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism through Turnitin Software and Plagiarism up to 20% will be allowed.
    • Registration: Submission of the abstract will be considered as a provisional registration and the co- authors are also required to get registered for the
    • Abstract Submission: Abstract of the paper should be submitted through form on or before 15th October, 2024 at 11:59 PM. IST through below mentioned link.
  • Submission of Full Paper: The full paper has to be submitted via form link on or before 19th October 2024 at 11:59 PM. IST. The google form link for full paper submission will be sent with the mail of acceptance.
  • If the paper is selected for publication in an ISBN-numbered book or conference proceedings, a statement by the author declaring that all submissions are original and faithful work of the author must be submitted.
  • Hard Copy: A hard copy of the full paper and abstract must be brought on the day of Seminar.

MEALS & ACCOMMODATION

Meals:    FREE Lunch on 24th and 25th October to all the participants at Amity Law School, Amity University Lucknow.

  • Accommodation and Transportation: Accommodation will be provided on a first come first serve basis and Meal is chargeable extra.
  • Travel allowance will not be provided to any of the participants.
